PEER research matches 15 of the 17 SDGs. More about the PEER research can be found here: www.peer.eu/research
By participating in ALTER-Net activities, PEER’s members contribute to enhance knowledge evidence in the area of biodiversity and ecosystem services and build bridges between science, policy and society. In this regard, they can rely in particular on the EKLIPSE-mechanism, setting up a unique and permanent European Science-Policy-Society interface supported by ALTER-Net.
Within EurAqua, PEER’s members pay a particular attention to relations with the European Commission: contribution to EC consultations, position papers and participation to workshops to influence European water research programmes and policies notable the Water Framework Directive, identification of priority research themes (EurAqua Strategic Agenda)...
LANDSCAPE EUROPE brings together interdisciplinary expertise from nine institutions, including PEER’s members, to support research on landscape assessment, planning and management and promote it at the European and international level.
